oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree!

I am all about starting new traditions and this year we finally found a new place to get our christmas trees. In the past we purchased precut frasier furs from our local *ahem lowes.  This year I decided to look for a new place to get a tree, one that was a bit more traditional. We searched around and found a great Christmas tree farm that was only about 15 minutes away, called Pumpkins and Pines. It was totally cute and I cant wait to do it again next year!

It was fun taking the whole family and picking out a tree we were all happy with! I hope sometime in the future we will have snow falling around us on the day we cut it down! Next time I also hope to bring my SLR, my iPhone is nice but not nearly as nice as the SLR!

Dogs were also very much welcomed so we brought Alex along! She loved it and was very well behaved.

Santa Cutie!

I am hanging out and relaxing after a week of spending time with family. It was all well worth it but my body is exhausted and both the girls are running on empty. I plan on spending this weekend doing as little as possible and mending our exhaustion.

I decided I would make a fun list of the things I am currently wishing Santa would bring me! I am very thankful for what I have these these are more of likes than needs!

I love new bedding and changing up my room without having to redo everything.  The quilt I currently have is too small for a bed due to shrinking from washing and is warn out from two adults, two kids and a 60 pound dog hanging out on it on a regular basis. I love this West Elm bedding! It is pretty to me and in all of our house, I love having my bedroom feel pretty! Its my one room that is just for me and Brian, although we share it with everyone, I love it looking pretty! I would go with the natural color,  with a yellow lab, this is probably the best color to go with a shedding dog and our wall color!

 

I am really into getting to know my camera a little bit more these days. I try to take it out as much as possible but my bag is a too little right now. I love these bag and if it were to go on sale, it would be well worth it!! I love all of these Epiphanie Bags but the cost is keeping me from biting! I mean I would love anything for my camera, like a cool flash, a 50mm lens, or tripod!

I have a love affair with gold jewelry right now. 5 years ago I wouldn't have wanted a single piece but lately I love it! I use to just wear my ring but now its something I love putting on to make me feel like I am making an effort to get ready. I love this simple gold circle necklace and its just what I am looking for something that lays beautifully!

My last christmas list wish would be to have board and batten in my kitchen. I have struggled with how I want to make this room look and finally decided that this would be the perfect addition and really make it a unique room that would just make me love it a bit more. Does Santa have DIY elves that can come over and help me with this!Thanks to the Nester for this great pic and instructions!!
