My journey of weight has been interesting.  Its been a road that I never thought I would take, but its been fun!

As a teenager I was pretty small and never had to worry about my weight. I randomly worked out and ate anything and everything I wanted and was never bigger than a size two. People always told me it would catch up and they were right, it sure did! Those were the days...

Than I fell in love and was apparently my metabolism stopped, or my husbands late night snacking caught up to me. I found this picture and wanted to share it with you, this was me at one of my heaviest times. I am somewhere near 160 and for someone who is 5'1 that is in the obese category!

Hotter Than Hades Virtual 13.1 Run

Than we went through the lose of Ashlyn and my perspective on weight changed. I wanted to be healthy and wanted to get in gear! I started running, overhauled my diet and worked out. I was just my own personal motivation that got me to the point that I am today!

This past year I have been unmotivated and burnt out. I needed to get things back in gear and back into shape for myself. Now my motivation is myself! I have overcome so much and looking at that before picture and than the after I know I can do it!

Now my weekend will be running fun! A 10k trail race at night at a beautiful lake and The 5k Color Run within 10 hours of each other, eeck! Oh and not to mention the forecast is over 100 every.single.day!

What motivates you?

adding color makes me so darn happy!

My family room has been so many different colors in the 7 years we have lived in our starter home. This room really is the most used room in the house and it just never felt right to me. I moved furniture, bought new furniture, painted it four or five times and now it has finally become a room that I adore!

Adding Color with a lamp and some fun fabric in a frame. The do-it-yourself project in this picture is made out of paint chips and white stickers. It was so easy to make, I just modpodged the paint chips and put the stickers right on top! Easy-Peasy!

Family Room Decor

Accepting the kids toys has incorported color into the room!

A fun eclectic chair add color and quirkiness to the room!

Family Room Decor

I took this worn out bookshelf and updated the back of it with fabric and now its a center piece in the room! I also created the abstract painting on the wall with a glass cup and oodles of colors!

Family Room Decor

An old antique chair adds character to the room and knick knack wall just brightens my day!

This was the before taken in 2006 pre kids and puppy destruction! While I like it, the colors just aren't me anymore and the its just to clean for our crazy lifestyle!
